About Us
Amy Johnsen is the insured owner and instructor for Spirit Stick Cheer and Dance. Amy has 20 years experience of combined cheer, gymnastics, and different styles of dance, including hip-hop, modern, lyrical, jazz, ballet, african, and brazilian. Amy is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Cal State University of Long Beach. Amy continues to take a variety of dance classes to stay current with today's cheer and dance. Amy is always researching, reading, and going to coach's conferences in order to be a successful coach and mentor. Amy's vision is to teach and guide children by giving them the individual attention they need. Amy also uses the Spirit Stick philosophy to boost childrens confidence so that they can be successful in future tryouts, and in life!
